More About Denver PrideFest
Denver’s PrideFest is a celebration of community, heritage, family and culture that sees more than 250,000 people from Colorado and surrounding areas come out to enjoy a parade, rally, music, entertainment, food and much more.
Produced by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of Colorado (The Center), and recognized as one of the top 10 Pride events in the country, PrideFest features a Dance Stage with DJs, a Community Stage and Main Stage with live entertainment, and plenty of celebrating all day. There are also vendor booths including food, art, children's activities, social causes and health awareness. The Center organizes the entire event and also provides a VIP area with food and drinks for sponsors and contributors to enjoy.
Saturday - Family Field Day and Women's Celebration
11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. - Downtown Civic Center Park (expanded hours in '09)
Festival attendees are welcome to enjoy activities and entertainment for kids, adults and pets; browse health and wellness booths, the youth interactive area, retail and commercial booths and recharge at food and beverage stands while watching the famous Dogs in Drag Parade. Guests will enjoy a full day of programming on three stages; the main stage, the community stage, and dance stage programming. We will also be holding our second annual kids’ parade.
Sunday – Parade and PrideFest Celebration
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Downtown Civic Center Park (expanded hours in '09)
The traditional PrideFest parade steps off from Cheesman Park and travels down Colfax to downtown Civic Center Park where attendees are welcome to enjoy a full day of live entertainment on four stages; stroll through 280 sponsor, health and wellness, retail and commercial booths; play in the family interactive area and refortify at the 40 food and beverage stands. Sponsors, patrons, and other VIP’s will enjoy the hospitality of the VIP area.
The Center proudly invites you to join the excitement. This June, come show your pride!
The mission of Denver PrideFest is to create a fun, safe and empowering space to celebrate and promote the heritage and culture of the GLBTQA community in Colorado.
