The collaborative model of The Center, with a diverse array of programs and services, is unique to Denver. In larger cities, many of these programs are stand-alone agencies, each with their own executive director and administration and development departments. These agencies in larger cities often compete with each other for donor resources and community visibility. Cities smaller than Denver seldom have the community resources to support such a full array of services.
